Our client is one of the leading commercial vehicle specialists in the UK and is experiencing continued success and business growth which has created a new role for a New Build Technician.
Your role will be to build / assemble bodies to fit chassis produced by other manufacturers and ensuring they meet all specifications.
Your key responsibilities will be to construct framework sections made of various materials and manufacture specialist vehicles by working from engineering drawings, shaping, welding and cutting to meet and exceed customer expectations.
You’ll carry out work operations for fabrications and check components and products to ensure they meet all requirements. You will be required to address and report any technical problems that arise during the assembly of components and products to the New Build Foreman.
Other tasks will include maintaining all records of components and products assembled and managing daily time sheets.
To succeed in this role you will have a good understanding of technical diagrams and manuals and be able to interpret technical drawings. You will have the ability to work within a team, possess excellent communication and practical skills and have good attention to detail.
