You will be supporting the Production Manager to ensure all the manufacturing and production activities are completed on time and within budget. You’ll work with the manager to look at ways to minimise costs, source new suppliers and sub contractors. You will also manage the team and ensure their development and growth is in keeping with the expansion of the company
To succeed in this role you must have excellent IT and administration skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels in a professional manner. A formal management training qualification and fork lift truck licensed would be desirable. A good mechanical aptitude would be an advantage as there may be occasions to assist with breakdowns on the machinery. You will be highly organised and be able to prioritise a busy workload whilst working on your own initiative. You must be calm under pressure and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
