An exciting opportunity has arisen with a dynamic local Logistics company who are looking to recruit a Part time Logistics Co- ordinator to oversee the freight forwarding planning of this busy office.
The role of the logistics Co-ordinator is designed to ensure that customer logistics requirements for export and associated administration activity with UK Customs are effectively met through the company’s network of suppliers, delivering excellent quality and providing good value.
Your role will be to receive customer instructions and managing all aspects of the supply chain to include liaison with the customer’s suppliers / warehouse, haulers, sea container suppliers and the destination warehouse.
To succeed in this role you must have exceptional attention to detail, be able to work to tight deadlines and it would be desirable to have previous experience and knowledge of freight or transport planning. You must also be competent in Microsoft Excel. This role is initially 3 days per week with the possibility of going full time as the business grows.
