    We have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Manager to join a company that work with a range of global brands. The company has seen considerable growth since 2020 and are seeking someone to work in a standalone account’s role in their business. The successful candidate should be confident and have strong IT skills, to complete not only the day to day accounting but the preparation of month end reporting. This is an SME organisation and you will be reporting directly to the Operations Director and CEO of the company and working with a team who operate with passion and integrity. This is not a new role to the organisation and there will be a full handover.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Preparation of management accounts and reporting (P&L, balance sheet, accruals, depreciation)
    • Assistance with quarterly forecasting and budgeting
    • Bank reconciliations
    • Quarterly VAT returns
    • Payroll, PAYE and year end returns (monthly – 40 employees)
    • Pension returns
    • Sales and purchase ledger – posting, invoicing and reconciling
    • Processing of payments via online banking
    • Credit card processing and reconciliations
    • Posting daily transactions to the general ledger
    • Fixed asset register
    • Credit control via email and phone
    • Liaising with the Accountants, HMRC and other authorities
    • Client query resolution

     

    Skills and experience required:

    • Minimum 4 years’ experience within a similar role
    • AAT qualified or currently studying towards this is desirable
    • Experience of working within project accounting is advantageous
    • Experience with accounting software Sage 50, and good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s)
    • Good knowledge of accounting procedures
    • Ability to set up / define new processes
    • Confident in challenging and influencing both Finance and non-Finance stakeholders
    • Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
    • Extremely organised and self-motivated, with strong interpersonal skills, able to work independently

     

    Salary and benefits:

    • £35,000 – £43,000 (pro-rata – normal working week 40 hours)
    • Part time working 30 hours per week over 4 days
