We are recruiting for a manufacturing client based near to Aylestone who are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join their small but busy finance team.
You will report into the Finance Manager of this established and long-standing Leicester based organisation on a busy supplier ledger.
This will be an office-based role, but my client is flexible on hours / days that the successful candidate would want to work.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Preparation of payment runs for review and processing (multiple currencies / banking systems)
- Obtain authorisation on invoices from production / purchasing departments
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Record and analyse carrier postage costs for allocation across business units prior to posting
- Customer and client supplier query resolution
- Dealing with financial paperwork and filing
Skills and experience required:
- Previous experience of working in a busy accounts payable role
- Strong attention to detail
- Previous experience of using accounting software packages (Navision desirable)
- Strong excel skills (pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s desirable)
Hours:
- 24 – 30 hours per week. Flexibility to work a 3 / 4 or 5-day week
Salary and benefits:
- Circa £23,500 pro-rata
- 20 days + 8 bank holidays
- Statutory pension
