We’re looking for an enterprising Senior Purchase Ledger candidate seeking an opportunity to be part of the development of the new EU import regulatory reporting. This role will eventually develop into full control of the purchase ledger for this fast-growing local company with an international presence.

This B2B distributor has a proud history as a pioneer in its industry and its subsidiary within the UK continuously innovate in order to increase its market share.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Development of system and process in line with new EU trading requirements
  • Dealing with all EU purchase transactions including: –
    • Rates of duty
    • VAT
    • Completion of HMRC returns
    • Regulatory reporting

 

Skills and experience required:

  • Over 5 years of experience working in a senior purchase ledger role
  • Excellent IT skills including Sage Line 50 and MS Office (Excel – pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s & Formulas)
  • A progressive and forward-thinking approach
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment but comfortable working in a new role with the support of other team members
  • An approachable and engaging communicator

 

Hours of work:

  • Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week
  • Flexibility on start time due to office opening hours 8.00am – 7.00pm
  • This role can be a remote role or a mixture of office / remote working

 

Salary and benefits:

  • £25,000 – £30,000
  • 23 days annual holiday + 8 bank holidays
