A new opportunity has arisen for an Executive Assistant to join a vibrant, unique and friendly team within the financial services industry, based in Leicester city centre.

The purpose of this position is to provide full secretarial and administrative support services to the Chief Financial Officer & the Finance & Treasury team and provide cover to support the other Directors in the absence of their own Executive Assistant.

This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.


Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide full executive support, secretarial and administrative services to the CFO
  • Provide extended administrative support to the wider Finance & Treasury team in delivering seamless business support services including production of reports, drafting presentations and participating on projects
  • Provide secretarial support for the wider governance and control framework across the organisation including preparation of papers, circulating information in advance, producing minutes and liaising with Bank stakeholders to ensure timely fulfilment of agreed actions
  • Fulfill executive support services across the organisation as part of a professional and efficient team including, but not limited to, handling correspondence, facilities management, events organisation and absence cover
  • Maintain diaries and arrange appointments for meetings, including travel arrangements, ensuring effective use of time and resources
  • Champion customer service in receiving visitors, responding to incoming telephone calls and taking action as appropriate
  • Maintain effective and efficient document management and filing systems including finance records, performance management processes, holidays and absence management across the Finance & Treasury team
  • Operate standard office equipment such as PC, photocopier, etc
  • Adhere to the brand and culture values, ensuring that all accountabilities are undertaken in accordance with the policies and procedures, and good client outcomes form the basis of decisions made

  • Previous experience as a secretary/personal assistant, capable of approaching unfamiliar situations with common sense and a “can do” attitude
  • Able to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion
  • Highly organised and detail orientated, with the ability to be highly effective at prioritising and handling a heavy workload
  • Strong and proven problem solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to assume responsibility and follow through on tasks
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Excellent IT skills including knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office programmes and willingness and ability to learn other software / technologies
  • Experienced in taking meeting minutes and preparation thereof
  • A good understanding of Conduct Risk and Treating Customers Fairly requirements is desirable


Hours of work:

  • Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm


Salary and benefits:

  • Circa £27,000 per annum
