    An established Manufacturing business with two sites in the UK is looking for a Finance Assistant to work with the Finance Manager to assist with the preparation of the weekly flash report (P&L) for the factory. This role would suit someone who enjoys working on Excel spreadsheets analysing large amounts of data and who, in the future, would possibly be interested in moving into a management accountant role as it will involve monthly budget results and forecast / AOP processes.

    You will need to have strong relationship building skills as you will be working with Finance Managers, the wider finance team across sites and the Senior Management Team throughout the business.

    Full training will be provided, and you will receive a salary of up to £25,000 per annum along with 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, workplace pension, discretionary bonus and on-site parking. For the right candidate study support will be considered.

     

    As a Finance Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

    • Month end SG&A reporting and business partnering
    • SG&A forecast / budget process
    • Assisting in the key analysis and reporting of business results
    • Assistance with critical business analysis projects
    • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
    • Responsibility for delivering Sarbanes Oxley Controls
    • Supporting audit requests as they arise

     

    We are looking for a Finance Assistant who has the following skills and experiences:

    • Previous experience of working within a finance department within a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential
    • Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables / VLOOKUP’s – use of only – not creation)
    • High level of attention to detail
    • Must be able to work using own initiative as well as being part of a team
    • Numerate with the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally at all levels
    • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise to meet monthly deadlines
    • Experience of data analysis and reporting
