    We have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Manager to join an SME supplier of material handling equipment that work both B2C and B2B. This is a very varied and “hands on” role and the successful candidate should be confident with strong IT skills and be able to complete both day to day accounts and month end reporting, stock depreciation, costing analysis and other ad hoc project work.

    My client is interested in candidates who can be focused on growth and margin performance and who can develop in the role to become a key player in the business.

    This role will be office based but flexible working will be considered.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Preparation of accounts and reporting (P&L, balance sheet, accruals, stock depreciation)
    • Take ownership of the budget and forecasts
    • Bank reconciliations GBP, USD, EUR
    • Quarterly VAT returns
    • Liaise with outsourced payroll provider and pension company
    • Oversee the purchase and sales ledgers
    • Debtor management and reporting
    • Liaising with the accountants, HMRC and other authorities
    • Managing ISO
    • FX currency trading
    • Manufacturing costing analysis

     

    Skills and experience required:

    • Minimum 4 years’ experience within a similar role
    • AAT qualified
    • Experience with accounting software Sage 200, and good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s)
    • Ability to set up / define new processes
    • Confident in dealing with Directors and stakeholders in the business
    • Extremely organised and self-motivated, with strong interpersonal skills, able to work independently
    • Confident in dealing with Directors and stakeholders in the business
    • Technically knowledgeable along with good commercial acumen
    • Demonstrates a growth mindset and an interest in seeing the role and business develop

     

    Salary and benefits:

    • £35,000 – £40,000
    • Hours of work – Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm (40 hours per week)
