    We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager on behalf of a Distributor, part of an international group. The company is growing year on year and my client is seeking candidates with experience of working within a multi-channel retail business.

    The successful candidate will monitor and manage the day-to-day financial operations within the company, as well as providing insightful analytical information to the Managing Director to assist with strategical decision making.

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Review financial data and prepare monthly P&L, cashflow and variance analysis reports and present to SMT
    • Prepare monthly financial analysis to budget for group
    • Collation of payroll for external accountant and submission to HMRC
    • Year-end reporting and work with external auditor for group audit requirements
    • Management of an Assistant Accountant
    • Multi-currency accounting and reporting
    • Intercompany reconciliations
    • Overseeing payment runs
    • Overseeing the completion of VAT returns within the legal deadline dates both UK & Ireland Tax authorities
    • Overseeing the debtor management process to ensure that debts are recovered on time and to minimise bad debt – seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company
    • Tracking the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
    • Maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
    • ‘hands on approach’ to assisting other areas of the business as working within a small but growing team

     

    Skills and experience required:

    • QBE or relevant accounting qualification
    • Over 5 years’ experience within a similar role
    • Experience of multi-channel business desirable
    • Strong Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and experience of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 365 desirable
    • Technically knowledgeable along with good commercial acumen
    • Demonstrates a growth mindset and an interest in seeing the role and business develop

     

    Hours of work:

    • Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 4.00pm with (1/2-hour lunch break)

     

    Salary and benefits:

    • £40,000 – £45,000
    • 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
