    Job description:

    We are excited to be working with a dynamic wealth management firm to assist in their recruitment for a Senior Paraplanner. The organisation has seen rapid growth over the past 5 years and are now seeking a highly ambitious and driven individual to join them and contribute to their future growth plans. The successful candidate will be reporting into the Operations Director and will mentor and develop a small team of paraplanners and Trainee Wealth Managers as well as being very ‘hands on’ to contribute to the overall success of the paraplanning team and business.

    This will be a busy and varied position and there will be opportunities for progressions as the company grows.

     

    Salary and benefits:

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Complex suitability report writing including drawdown, tax free cash and inheritance tax advice
    • Working closely with the Managing Director for technical meeting preparation and fund analysis
    • Developing and managing effective systems, processes, and procedures to continuously improve Practice efficiency
    • Managing and coordinating your team of paraplanners, assigning tasks to ensure all cases are actioned within specific timeframes
    • Technical support and training to new/junior employees, as well as ongoing support to ensure high accuracy
    • Oversee new Consumer Duty requirements to ensure client review meetings are scheduled and recorded appropriately
    • Client relationship management
    • Practice reporting

     

    Skills and experience required:

    • DipPFS qualified /  studying / QBE
    • Minimum of 2 years Paraplanning experience in a similar environment
    • People management experience (mentoring, leading, and developing)
    • Understanding of investments, pensions, protection planning inheritance tax from a wealth management background
    • Understanding of IT systems with knowledge of Salesforce, FE analytics and Voyant advantageous
    • Demonstrates a growth mindset and an interest in seeing the role and business develop
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, working with positivity, charisma, and a tireless drive for results
