    Job description:

    We’re recruiting for a Management Accountant on behalf of a global manufacturing company. The successful applicant will play a key role within the finance function, working closely with the Finance Manager and have two direct reports. You will also be taking responsibility for day-to-day finance tasks and supporting the Finance Manager in producing accurate financial and management reporting enabling the company to make sound commercial decisions. An aspiration to progress within the organisation will be actively encouraged and supported.

     

    Salary and benefits:

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Build, control P&L, balance sheet and cash flow forecasts with associated financial reporting and business analytics
    • Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends and financial forecasts
    • Manage cash flow by tracking transaction and regularly reviewing internal reports
    • Oversee the management of accounts payable and control accounts receivable ledgers
    • Assist the Financial Manager in analysing key financial data and advising senior management on strategic planning
    • Prepare and assist with financial reports and budgets, as well as controlling and forecasting income and expenditure
    • Produce and monitor departmental budgets
    • Support the Finance Manager in the preparation and interpretation of statutory accounts
    • Assist with monthly and quarterly accounts, budgets, forecasts, and yearend accounts
    • Line management responsibility for the Purchase Ledger Administrator and Finance Assistant
    • Prepare and distribute weekly KPI reports
    • Carry out monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and inter-company accounts
    • Create and maintain monthly sales sheet showing costs and margins, monthly sales analysis by Country, monthly cashflow forecast, inter-company recharge invoices and submit monthly ONS returns
    • Manage the payroll process for the external Payroll company, including inputting pension payments via pensions portal
    • Maintain fixed asset register and review annually
    • Year end audit work

     

    Skills and experience required:

    • Part qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
    • Previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment
    • Strong reporting and analytical skill set required
    • Good level of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables)
    • Understanding of ERP systems in a manufacturing setting – Sage X3 being advantageous
    • Self-sufficient, organised and very ‘hands on’ and wanting to develop
