We’re delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well reputed local company, who are currently looking for a talented Market Assistant & Content Editor to deliver innovative and engaging digital web content.
This is a fixed-term role for an initial duration of approximately three months, with the potential for the contract to be extended further. Due to business requirements, applicants should be available to start immediately or within 1 weeks’ notice.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Writing SEO-optimised inspiring copy; uploading marketing material to the website and creating landing pages including offers and key promotions
- Interpreting product briefs and creating/scheduling engaging content
- Optimising user journeys by testing content and links
- Troubleshooting, communicating and/or resolving website and technical issues
- Attending weekly content marketing meetings and discussions
- Ensuring that metadata is added and updated for all web pages
- Sourcing and resizing imagery for digital channels
- Supporting the wider marketing teams when required to deliver marketing materials
- Writing marketing briefs for graphic designers and to manage the design and proofing processes
Skills and experience required:
- Previous use of a content management system and Photoshop would be preferred but is not essential
- Flair for writing web copy/content
- Understands the importance of the digital user journey and driving website conversions
- Has a technical mind and enjoys troubleshooting and improving user experience
- Able to challenge web processes and web page structures and put forward suggestions for improvements
- Good overall understanding of SEO principles and practices
- Produces clear, engaging and grammatically accurate content, reports and correspondence
- Works successfully to deadlines, and is able to manage multiple projects and tasks
- Takes a creative and imaginative approach, with the confidence to put forward and develop new ideas
Hours of work:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm with 1-hour unpaid lunch – 37.5 hours per week
- Flexible working available on request in line with flexible working policy – to be discussed at interview stage
Salary and benefits:
- £19,000 – £20,000
