    We’re looking for a talented and innovative Marketing Manager with extensive product development and sector-based marketing experience to join a successful industrial supplier based in Loughborough, Leicestershire.

    You’ll take responsibility for the planning and implementation of highly effective marketing strategies for a large and varied product portfolio, which will help to grow the business in alignment with the company plan and strategic priorities.

    In addition, you’ll provide support, guidance and motivational leadership to the marketing team, promoting a cohesive and collaborative working approach whilst ensuring that all product, category and brand marketing plans are delivered and performance indicators achieved.

     

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Developing and defending the company’s corporate identity.
    • Providing effective leadership to the Marketing Team, continuously monitoring performance, engagement and development through the introduction of a performance management process and regular team meetings.
    • Leading the Marketing Team budget process, and taking ownership of controlling the Marketing Department costs.
    • Maximising the website and social media presence to support Business Development.
    • Sourcing appropriate Celebrity Brand Champions to support product ranges.
    • Managing the use of printed advertising investment and reducing associated costs.
    • Supporting the development of indirect internet presence through partner distributors.
    • Leading the creation and launch of a new range of products to be sold directly through Amazon.
    • Producing video and sales support materials, as well as training materials for all new product launches.
    • Managing the production, distribution, and waste management of the product publication.
    • Creating and working to a rolling 24 month calendar of marketing activity.
    • Populating and maintaining the product and aesthetic integrity of the showroom.
    • Supporting the development of new trading channels.
    • Supporting product pricing tactics and initiatives, and contributing to promotion product selection.
    • Delivering exciting launch plans to generate profitable sales.
    • Completing and submitting a variety of regular marketing reports.
    • Attending company meetings as required.
    • Identifying listing opportunities across core categories, working with sales to plan distribution strategies.
    • Planning product launches through the sales launch process.
    • Looking at target sectors, considering the product range and delivering a marketing plan across 13 different product categories.
    • Carrying out annual visits to key customers.
    • Marketing the business to deliver solutions that create better outcomes for customers.
    • Carrying out any other reasonable duties as may be required by the company.

     

    Skills and experience required:

    • Extensive proven experience as a product-focused Marketing Manager, ideally within an industrial business.
    • Demonstrable track record in sector-based marketing across a large and varied product portfolio.
    • Confident in people management, with evidence of previously motivating and leading a successful marketing team.
    • Able to devise strategies that target different audiences effectively (i.e. both distributors and end users).
    • Takes a positive and proactive approach, with influential and engaging communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
    • Takes ownership of key decision making processes.
    • Excellent project management and campaign delivery skills.

     

    Salary and benefits:

    • £40,000 – £45,000
