    We’re looking for an experienced Payroll / Finance Assistant to work with our client in the healthcare sector who provide comprehensive and focused care to vulnerable individuals.

     

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Completion of end to end payroll for approx. 100 employees (zero hours)
    • Process statutory forms and calculation of payments
    • Auto enrolment, RTI and liaison with HMRC
    • Collation and checking of staff timesheets and reconciliation on inhouse system
    • Processing of payments by BACS
    • Payroll query resolution
    • Completion of payroll journals and month end reporting
    • Processing year-end and final submissions
    • Printing of payslips and employee rotas for distribution
    • Raise monthly invoices using Sage to clients
    • Raise invoices for client mileage and recharge
    • Reconcile credit card, petty cash accounts monthly
    • Daily bank reconciliations and management of account tracker
    • Ordering of all PPE and stationery with suppliers
    • Processing of purchase invoices
    • Preparation of payment runs
    • Completion of credit control duties via email and telephone
    • Key contact for company accountants
    • Ensure compliance with professional, statutory and corporate requirements

     

    Skills and experience required:

    • Previous payroll experience required
    • Bookkeeping skills with a minimum of 2 years’ experience
    • Strong knowledge of accountancy software – Sage & Sage Payroll, Microsoft Word & Excel
    • Ability to successfully adapt to changing demands and conditions
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
    • Highly numerate with high degree of accuracy
    • Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in developing relationships with internal customers

     

    Hours of work:

    • Monday to Thursday 09:00 – 17:00 Hours (Mon – Fri – 37.5 hour working week)

     

    Salary and benefits:
