Job Description

Stunning retail design projects come together through a combination of imaginative creativity, seamless project management and a commitment to outstanding client service. On behalf of an innovative local retail design agency, we are looking for a talented Account Manager with all of these skills and more, who is dedicated to building prosperous ongoing business relationships with a range of high-profile brand names.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Acting as the main point of contact for a number of national and international retail accounts ensuring that each customer is delighted with the service and product they receive at all times
  • Developing creative ideas and concept alongside each client, and working with the design team and engineers on prototypes and proposals
  • Skillfully managing a busy workload; typically between 10-15 ongoing projects at any one time
  • Attending meetings in order to review and de-brief completed projects and understand forthcoming campaigns and future requirements
  • Identifying and proposing potential new services and solutions bespoke to the needs of each client
  • Monitoring the financial performance of each account carefully and analytically
  • Ensuring all required administration and documentation is correct throughout

Skills and experience required:

  • Extensive experience in a similar role within a retail design business or agency
  • Thorough, in-depth knowledge of the retail design sector, with an up-to-date awareness of trends and industry developments
  • Sound understanding of the design and manufacturing processes
  • Skilled at carrying a project through its critical path, reliably meeting deadlines
  • Excellent at building long-lasting client relationships
  • Self-motivated, with a "can-do" approach to any challenge, and a commitment to finding solutions
  • A positive, proactive communicator, adept at negotiation

Hours of work:

  • Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm

Salary and benefits:

  • £28,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience + annual company bonus
  • 20 days annual holiday + 8 bank holidays
