Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an established family business with a strong local presence. If you are interested in joining a friendly office team in an accounts / office administration position that is busy, varied and offers a great working environment then this may be the role for you.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Reception duties including meeting and greeting clients
  • Administration duties including; updating electronic client files, typing of correspondence and data entry into a bespoke system
  • Coding and processing of invoices and preparation of payment runs (BACS)
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Quarterly VAT return
  • Collation of outsourced payroll
  • Processing of receipts
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Credit card & petty cash reconciliations
  • Setting up of pre-payment plans

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous experience of working within a split Accounts / Office Assistant position is desirable
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organised with good working knowledge of Microsoft office packages
  • Good working knowledge of QuickBooks
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with clients

Working hours:

  • Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm OR 8.30am - 4.30pm (flexibility for the right candidate)
  • Every 4th Saturday - 9.00am - 12.30pm (paid / time off in lieu)

Salary and benefits:

  • £20,000 - £22,000
  • 20 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays
  • Pension (enhanced after probation period)
