Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Aviation Executive to work within our clients Aviation Team based in Market Harborough. The successful candidate will have an understanding of the aviation processes working across their two escorted travel brands. You will work within a team managing the aviation inventory and cost control for a portfolio of tours.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Careful planning and adherence to strict deadlines in managing seat inventory across a portfolio of tours
  • Queue management including changes, inventory release and ticketing
  • Working within agreed financial limits to source seat inventory as required
  • To action on-request and non-core customer requests in line with agreed SLA's
  • To effectively communicate with customers to advise of the latest information or obtain missing information
  • Developing effective relationships with external suppliers such as airlines, and building internal relationships to ensure excellent service is delivered to our customers
  • Participation in the on-call rota

Skills and experience required:

  • A good standard of secondary education (GCSE's)
  • Knowledge of airline routes, operating guidelines and airline-specific contract interpretation
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in understanding the aviation processes
  • 1-2 years GDS experience (preferably Amadeus)
  • Strong planning skills and the ability to organise
  • Attention to detail with the ability to maintain focus and work within tight time constraints
  • Effective communicator and relationship builder
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Strong quantitative skills for analysis of complicated programmes to ensure sufficient flight seat capacity is available
  • Forward thinking to actively seek process improvements
  • Accuracy and thoroughness
  • To be PC literate with working knowledge of Microsoft packages especially Excel

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm

Salary:

  • £18,500 increasing after completion of a 6 month probation period
  • 25 days annual holiday + Bank holidays
  • Free parking
