Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Developer and Account Manager to join our client, a well-established, creative retail design agency in South Leicestershire.

Due to company growth, they are looking to recruit an ambitious and confident individual with experience in client account management, and a track record of winning new business and growing and developing key accounts.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Working the full client cycle from business development through to account management
  • Develop new business relationships following targeted approaches to key businesses
  • Arrange appointments to meet with stakeholders to pitch for new business
  • Networking via LinkedIn and industry specific trade events to generate new opportunities
  • Making and maintaining contact with potential future clients to develop relationships
  • Writing and preparing proposals and negotiating pricing
  • Account management of some existing clients alongside new account wins
  • Manage projects from conception through to completion, developing strong client relationships
  • Ensure that client requirements are fully understood in order that key objectives and information is communicated effectively to internal departments
  • Manage projects to ensure that all are completed to agreed budgets, timescales and service levels
  • Provide comprehensive reporting to update on project progress
  • Attend client meetings to take on new briefs and review existing projects

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in a business development or account management role
  • Agency experience is essential to understand a brief and the creative process
  • Experience in retail design/POS/FMCG
  • Proven track record in both new business generation, and account management
  • Exceptional relationship management skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and extremely high standards
  • Focused, tenacious and driven
  • Strong communication skills and confident in presenting to clients
  • Commercially astute
  • Confident, professional and approachable

Salary and benefits:

  • £35,000 - £45,000
  • 15% bonus
