Job Description

Our client, a leading commercial flooring manufacturer, is looking for a Business Development Co-ordinator to join their growing dynamic sales team.

You will be responsible for supporting the sales team, taking enquiries, preparing quotations and developing new business sales in the flooring, construction and facilities management market sectors.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop new flooring business with contractors and maintain existing business
  • Build relationships with contractors, architects and facilities management companies
  • Making outbound calls to promote the company's product offering
  • Arrange appointments on behalf of the sales team
  • Handle incoming enquiries from contractors and customers
  • Supply samples and company literature to potential and existing customers
  • Review architectural drawings and provide accurate quotations and costings based on requirements
  • Negotiating pricing and converting enquiries into sales
  • Cross-sell flooring installation service as appropriate
  • Provide support to, and communicate regularly with the sales department
  • Report on performance monthly to the Business Manager
  • Working to team performance and activity targets

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous experience in a telephone based sales role is essential
  • Great customer skills and a good rapport builder
  • Confident, positive, organised and self-motivated
  • Ambitious and driven and committed to achieving targets
  • Strong at 'opening doors' and building new relationships
  • Able to think on your feet, and a good problem solver
  • Good communication skills - verbal and written

Salary and benefits:

  • Up to £24,000 basic
  • Inclusion in the company bonus scheme
