Job Description

We are looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor with at least 5 years of proven department experience to work for a firm that believe in working hard to deliver the best service to their clients. To be successful in this role you will have a proven track record of success in Senior Management roles and possess the ability to take responsibility for the department and the fee earners.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and supervising client work of the fee earners in Commercial Property
  • To lead the department to success. and be seen as a positive role model across the firm
  • To continually look to improve processes and efficiencies within the department
  • Plan and implement new initiatives to drive the department forward
  • Manage the centralisation of any departmental services or record keeping
  • Continually review resources against a number of files and plan
  • Assisting in the marketing strategy for new and existing services
  • Working closely with the compliance team to ensure that the department remain compliant and is following all necessary regulations
  • Developing new relationships and referral contacts and winning top clients/referrers
  • Attend networking events and act as an ambassador for the company and the department
  • Drive excellent client care and managing relationships with key accounts
  • Managing and coaching employees to develop their knowledge and skills
  • Responsibility for recruitment of new fee earners into the department
  • Constantly innovate and come up with new ways of training and developing new staff training programmes
  • Undertake all appraisals for staff reporting into you within the department
  • Ensure that all direct reports have personal development objectives and an up to date PDP in place

Skills and experience required:

  • At least 5 years in department
  • Proven track record of success in Senior Management
  • Confident, driven and dynamic leader
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to spot new opportunities
  • Ability to manage, drive, motivate and lead a department of fee earners delivering all required coaching and training support
  • Ability to effectively delegate and manage a team is desirable
  • Confident and enthusiastic approach, prepared to put forward ideas and provide constructive advice
  • Able to produce key performance indicators and ideas
  • Full understanding of the regulatory body and accreditations
  • Ability to deal with competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Relationship management
  • Strong client management skills, professionalism and integrity
  • A professional approach to work, integrity and a respect for confidentiality

Salary and benefits:
