Job Description

Our client, an international health based organisation who is a leader in their field, is recruiting for a Communications Manager to join their fast-paced marketing and communications team.

The successful candidate will need to have experience in PR, event management, commercial digital projects, digital and social media communications, external and internal communications and the development of marketing tools and materials. The Communications Manager will be responsible for a team of staff and will report directly to the Head of Marketing & Communications.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • To implement marketing strategy in the UK, Ireland and European markets
  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications to work within tone of voice and brand guidelines for all external communications, and manage the rollout of the new brand internally
  • Work with sales and training teams to understand their requirements for the development of marketing materials
  • Identify opportunities for improving all communication methods across digital and social channels
  • Manage the marketing and communications budget, tracking and monitoring budget spend
  • Management responsibility of a team of 4 including regular reviews and appraisals
  • Measure the effectiveness of campaigns and report on results
  • Support the management of the Facebook community group, support the team to deliver the stakeholder magazine

Skills and experience required:

  • At least 3 years experience in a previous communications role, at a similar level
  • Excellent copywriting, proof reading and editing skills with close attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good people management skills including objectives and KPI setting
  • Strong experience of internal and external communications, including branding and rebranding
  • Good interpersonal skills, confidence and ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external, across all levels, and including external agencies
  • Creative thinker
  • Organised
  • A marketing related degree and/or qualification e.g. CIM

Salary and benefits:
