Job Description

We are currently supporting the recruitment of a Communications Officer to join the Engagement and Communications team for our client, a not-for-profit organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Communications Officer and support the development and implementation of the integrated marketing communications plan.

You will be responsible for increasing awareness through engaging marketing communications, and providing measurement, evaluation and key learnings on all activity, identifying ways to continuously improve impact and ROI.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Implement fully integrated marketing communications to reach and engage with past and present members
  • Support service delivery, manage reputation and drive engagement through direct marketing and external channels including training providers, firms and businesses, advertising, PR and social media
  • Deliver high quality and innovative communications solutions across the UK and overseas
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to obtain buy-in for all communications activities
  • Identify new channels and creative solutions to use across the organisation's marketing communications
  • Evaluate marketing processes and streamline procedures for continuous improvement and efficiencies
  • Provide quarterly reports outlining successes and key findings to feed into the strategy for future plans and activities

Skills and experience required:

  • Professional marketing qualification to Degree level or equivalent is desirable
  • Previous experience working in a not-for-profit or charitable organisation
  • Experience delivering engaging campaign messaging, and writing, editing and reviewing copy
  • Good knowledge of digital and traditional marketing channels including social media, email marketing, websites, print production and advertising
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics social media and email platforms
  • Experience of working across multiple channels both on and offline
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as a good understanding of Gramma rules
  • Highly organised, driven, professional, enthusiastic and self-motivated

Salary and benefits:

  • £25,000 - £29,000 dependent on experience
