Job Description

We're excited to be recruiting for the opportunity to join an innovative and established company based in Corby.

The successful candidate will act as the company Data Protection officer and coordinate the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) compliance and engagement activities providing expertise, advice and direction when required for the company and employees.

We're interested in hearing from applicants who meet one or more of the following criteria:

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Proactively and reactively manage compliance and complaints, working with Sales Operations Manager
  • Manage the compliance process and respond within agreed service level agreements to ensure timely resolution and action with all issues
  • Provide management reports on issues and resolutions
  • Work with Head of Sales to maintain text of Policies & Procedures Manual and other Consultant-only documents. Liaise with Marketing Designer and Co-ordinator to get changes published
  • Represent the company at Legal Affairs Meetings and keep other staff appraised of changes in legislation that will affect individual businesses
  • To provide data protection advice and support to the CNFL group of companies and Consultants
  • To coordinate the planning and implementation of the data privacy compliance strategy including auditing all departments and updating all terms and conditions
  • To analyse and improve business processes and controls to ensure the business operate to best practice data privacy standards
  • Coordinate, plan and implement data privacy communications and training to all relevant individuals
  • Proactively take responsibility to identify, assess, manage and report data privacy risk issues as part of the Company's wider risk management programme
  • Acting as first point of call for any GDPR enquiries both internally and externally
  • Ensure all data privacy policies and procedures are compliant and up to date
  • Develop and implement robust feedback and compliance process aligned to the Policies and Procedures, Sponsor and Consultant Charter and DSA regulations
  • Prepare and propose for approval all suspensions and terminations in conjunction with the Consultant Training Supervisor
  • Responsible for actioning and communicating all agreed course of action following Consultant complaints

Skills and experience required:

  • Experience of working within a Direct Sales environment
  • Experience of working in a compliance environment
  • Solid knowledge of GDPR and national data protection laws
  • Experience in data protection and legal compliance
  • Ethical, with the ability to remain impartial and report all non-compliances

Working hours:

  • Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm (1 hour for lunch)

Salary and benefits:

  • Up to £35,000 dependent on experience
