Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Creative Director to join our client, an ambitious full-service marketing agency in South Leicestershire. Due to company growth, they are looking to recruit a dynamic and innovative leader with the necessary experience to drive the creative direction of the company across all touchpoints, internally and externally, and deliver engaging creative based on strong consumer insight.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Meeting clients or account managers to discuss the brief and requirements of the job
  • Developing design briefs by researching sectors and gathering inspiration
  • Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts
  • Overseeing and taking leadership of creative projects when required
  • Implementing creative process to support the business's growth and development
  • Interpreting the client's business needs and developing concepts to suit their purpose
  • Presenting finished ideas and concepts to clients or account managers
  • Working with a wide range of media, including brand identity, sales collateral, websites and social media contents, corporate communications and packaging
  • Work in a collaborative manner with the wider team
  • Working on layouts and artworking pages ready to print

Skills and experience required:

  • Experience working as a Lead Creative/Creative Director - ideally both in-house and agency
  • Experience producing and leading creative campaigns from concept through to delivery
  • Comfortable working with blue chip brands and entrepreneurial SMEs
  • Strong communication skills - comfortable presenting to clients and leading internal creative discussions
  • Ability to work strategically as well as tactically and manage budget plans
  • Strong leadership skills managing small in-house team as well as Associate base
  • Experience managing work flow and scheduling
  • Strong influencing skills in order to challenge and led in-house and client creative thinking
  • Experienced in the development of branding and corporate identity
  • An expert at creating online and offline marketing materials including websites, brochures, direct mail, social media graphics and packaging
  • Proficient in using Adobe Creative suite
  • Experience in the beauty, food, fashion and software sectors would be ideal, but not essential
