Job Description

We're currently welcoming applications from customer service professionals for our client, a well-established and community-focused banking organisation.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Offer advice and support on complex savings transactions
  • Ensure the timely and accurate progression of savings administration and project work
  • Ensure that all actions are undertaken in accordance with the company's policies and procedures
  • Review and develop processes and procedures improving customer service, efficiency and / or accuracy
  • Review and recommend updates to the savings process modules
  • Take a proactive approach to developing your own knowledge, seeking to understand regulatory changes within the savings industry
  • To be a point of contact for the core savings products and processes, developing to expert status on complex transactions after training
  • Support the operation and continuous development of the online service, completing quality checks to deliver an exceptional customer service
  • To assist with pre-release testing of systems as and when requested
  • Production of management information as required
  • Support and mentor colleagues
  • Keep up to date with regulatory requirements
  • Identify and report Risk Events to allow policies and procedures to be reviewed
  • Adhere to the Data Protection and Security Policy
  • To report any suspicions or actual instances of financial crime, including money laundering and fraud, to the MLRO/DMLRO immediately
  • Any other duties as required to meet business needs

Skills and experience required:

  • Extensive experience of working in a customer service environment
  • Confidence in the use of computers (particularly the MS Office software suite) is essential
  • GCSE English & Mathematics Grade C or above or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates a positive, polite and friendly attitude
  • Ability to use own initiative and manage own workload effectively


  • Full time, 35 hours per week
  • 9am-5pm Monday to Friday
  • Saturdays worked on a rota basis (approx. 1 in 4), 8.45am-12.15pm, paid at rate of 1 ½

Salary and benefits:

  • £18,000 - £18,500
