Job Description

Our client offers a consultative approach in nutrition and lifestyle programmes for their varied customer base. The business has been established for over 30 years and they pride themselves on offering the highest standards of service to their customers.

They are looking for a dynamic and experienced Events Coordinator to join their already thriving team. The successful candidate will be reporting to the PR and Events Manager, and be responsible for coordinating both UK and worldwide events. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure event success and assist with the planning, implementation, communication, success and post analysis of the events.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Support the PR & Event Manager to ensure sales engagement and communication plans are in place
  • Support the PR team to deliver the PR Events to timelines and budget
  • Communicate effectively with external suppliers such as event agencies, creative agencies, hotels, venues and photographers
  • Attend and assist with events in the UK and worldwide
  • Work with internal teams to help deliver internal events
  • Support the planning, coordination and delivery of the Annual Convention
  • Carry out venue and supplier research and develop a network of key suppliers
  • Manage small event projects from initial concept through to implementation
  • Generate ideas and concepts for relevant event projects
  • Take responsibility to keep up to date with trends, new venues and entertainment
  • Take ownership of all event risk assessments and ensure that all Health and Safety documentation is complete and up-to-date
  • Undertake other duties as requested by the PR & Event Manager

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum of two years event management experience
  • Full driving licence and use of a car
  • Experience of event project management
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Highly organised and detail orientated
  • The ability to travel and stay overnight for up to 5 days at a time throughout the year
  • Budget management experience
  • IT literate and have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Hours of Work:

  • Monday to Friday 09:00am - 17:00pm with a 1-hour lunch break

Salary and benefits:

  • £23,000 per annum
  • Profit share scheme with a bonus of up to 15% of annual salary
  • 20 days annual holiday plus Bank holidays
