Do you have experience of servicing and maintaining machine tools such as Lathes and Mills? Are you looking for an autonomous role whilst working in a variety of environments that present different challenges on a daily basis? This could be the perfect prospect for you!

An opportunity is now immediately available for experienced Field Service Engineers with an electrical bias and excellent CNC ability to undertake delivering of high end machine tool services primarily to the Aerospace and Automotive industry.

The successful Service Engineers will fulfil a diverse role incorporating machine breakdowns, machine tool calibrations, and annual maintenance contracts. You will be working predominantly with Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain PLC and CNC controls, therefore a strong electrical bias with electronic skills is highly desirable for this position.

Essential Requirements:

  • CNC and PLC controls knowledge of Siemens, Fanuc and Heidenhain
  • In-depth experience maintaining lathes and machining centres
  • Thorough knowledge of Servo & Inverter drives
  • A good understanding of machine geometry and alignment
  • Strong Pneumatics and Hydraulics skills
  • Available to undertake travel to customer site locations when required - UK Wide

Salary and Benefits:

The appointed Service Engineer can anticipate to work 8-10-hour day's with paid over time available after 8hrs, applicants must be flexible to undertake travel i.e. on occasion you will be required to work away from home/Stay away as required. Weekend work is available on a voluntary basis and is paid at an overtime rate.

This is a home based role anticipating to undertake UK wide client site coverage - ideal locations would include within and around the following areas: Birmingham, Worcester, Coventry, Gloucester, Stafford, Leicester, Nottingham, Derby, Kenilworth, Rugby, Solihull, Tamworth, Chesterfield, Northampton, Telford, Tipton and Warwick.
