Job Description

The purpose of the role is to ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly
    reviewed, updated and communicated
  • Ensure the company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at
    work, including statutory training and reporting
  • Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations
  • Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented
  • Completion / arranging all workplace training in relation to manual handling etc and keeping up-to-date records
  • Keep up to date with all aspects of relevant health, safety & welfare at work legislation and communicate
    relevant changes to the business
  • Chairing the monthly SHEQ regarding issues are raised at that meeting and it's a good communication route via the Supervisors and staff, Audit and workplace inspections analysis
  • Occasional working on the shop floor

Skills and experience required:

  • NEBOSH qualified
  • IOSH would be desirable
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Manual handling experience
  • Relationship building skills
  • Team player
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong administration skills
  • Competent in MS Office
  • SAGE - training will be given
  • Data entry - good keyboard skills
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Organised and prioritising


  • Monday to Friday - Hours to be confirmed
