Job Description

Our client, based near to Market Harborough, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced full time HR / Office Assistant to work within a small and friendly senior team. Suitable candidates will have a minimum of 2 years' HR experience of working within a stand- alone role.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure departmental activities meet with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, company policies and general duty of care
  • Undertake HR administration, including recruitment and selection policy/practices, discipline, grievance, contracts, sickness and absence monitoring
  • Co-ordinate performance appraisals, annual leave and staff vetting procedures
  • Preparation, distribution and coordination of Board/Committee papers
  • Ensure that adequate support is available for the Executive Team
  • Maintain the relevant manual and electronic filing systems ensuring that records are kept accurately and up to date
  • Ensure switchboard/reception is covered
  • Liaise with external suppliers in respect of cleaning, vending services, stationery/office suppliers and other services
  • Facilities Management, including fire, risk assessments, alarms, access control and key holding

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum of 2 years HR experience is essential
  • Flexible and adaptable with an ability to self-manage and maintain high levels of energy and self-motivation
  • Strong attention to detail
  • IT literate
  • Confident telephone manner

  • Knowledge of company HR policies and procedures

Working hours:

  • Monday to Friday - 8.30am - 5.00pm (1hour lunch)
