Job Description

We are looking for a skillful IT professional who can confidently and effectively monitor, maintain and improve the IT systems at the heart of a community-focused business.

By helping colleagues with their PC, server, networking and hardware problems via phone, email or on-site visits, the successful applicant will play an important part in ensuring the company can consistently and reliably deliver the excellent and bespoke service they are known for to their local customer base.

The identification and implementation of system improvements, along with the organisation and execution of any associated configuration and testing, is also a key part of the role.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance by responding to system enquiries regarding errors, problems or questions regarding databases
  • Produce quality driven technical and functional requirement documentation
  • Assist with user acceptance testing
  • Perform system administration task
  • Analyse, implement, configure and test new functionality
  • Provide training of new functionality to required internal customers
  • To carry out such duties as are required from time to time by the MI & System Development Manager
  • Take ownership for your own training and development requirements and proactively drive the process
  • Identify and report Risk Events to allow policies and procedures to be reviewed
  • Adhere to the Data Protection, GDPR and Security Policy
  • To report any suspicions or actual instances of financial crime, including money laundering and fraud, to the MLRO/DMLRO immediately
  • Undertake and pass all relevant tests within the prescribed timescales
  • Any other duties as required to meet the business needs

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience of UAT testing
  • IT qualification (desirable)
  • Good knowledge of SQL servicer administration
  • Problem-solving approach
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • Understanding of building regulations
  • Motivated individual
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Strong communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Professional image and attitude

Hours of work:

  • Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm

Salary and benefits:

  • £25,000 - £30,000
  • 24 days annual holiday + 8 Bank holidays
