Duties and responsibilities:

Management accounts & monthly reporting

  • Taking responsibility for the complete, accurate and timely production of monthly management reporting
  • Reviewing monthly management accounts prepared by the Assistant Management Accountant
  • Control and preparation of management accounts cut off / provisions
  • Production of reporting packs for management accounts including results commentary, analysis and budget variances
  • Supporting and mentoring the Assistant Management Accountant
  • Carrying out inter-company transactions and group recharge information with Group Finance Manager

Payroll & HR Support

  • Commission reporting
  • Making gross pay calculations and liaising with the outsourced payroll provider for salary payments
  • Overseeing matters relating to pension arrangements, holiday allowances and various benefits
  • Managing PAYE settlement agreements
  • Ensuring all financial processes relating to new joiner onboarding and staff exits are carried out duly

Projects / Other tasks

  • Preparing and submitting monthly bank reporting
  • Carrying out exception reporting of debtors with credit controller
  • Researching and implementing processes surrounding newly incorporated international companies including T&Cs, business routines, taxation, reporting requirements, set up and support requirements
  • Assisting with budgets/forecasts
  • Managing external audit process including production of the year end audit files
  • Taking responsibility for VAT returns and EC sales list
  • Fulfilling company secretarial duties including confirmation statements and filing of dormant company reports
  • Providing ad-hoc support to the Group Finance Manager & Group Finance Director
  • Assisting with ad-hoc projects and research, as well as supporting colleagues with accounts as required

Skills and experience required:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
  • Extensive experience in managing multi-currency overseas business transactions
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, coupled with a strong level of general IT proficiency
  • Experience in the use of Netsuite Accounts software would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Enjoys working cohesively as part of a team
  • Self-motivated and adept at the organisation and prioritisation of tasks
  • Professional, friendly and approachable communicator

Hours of work:

  • Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm each day with 1 hour lunch break

Salary and benefits:

  • £35,000 - £40,000
  • 22 days holidays + bank holidays, plus incremental holiday increase related to length in service
