We're looking for an inventive and talented Marketing Assistant with an impressive expertise in the world of social media and digital marketing!
The successful candidate will join a well-reputed and successful toy distributor, known internationally for their well-loved brands. You'll combine an imaginative approach with your second-to-none social media knowledge to design and implement a brand new online strategy.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Delivering a slick, creative and effective social media strategy across a range of channels to attract and build an engaged and reactive following
- Redesigning and optimising the company website in order to increase traffic and showcase each brand.
- Strategically planning carefully targeted SEO and PPC activity
- Carrying out careful analytics to gauge the success of campaign activity, providing weekly and monthly reports and identifying any issues requiring attention
- Working with bloggers and influencers to increase brand visibility
- Taking responsibility for both trade and consumer PR, writing copy and producing clear advertising briefs
- Maintaining an awareness of current competitors and monitoring their online presence.
- Representing the company in person and carrying out face-to-face marketing duties at exhibitions, issuing press packs and meeting the media
- Travelling within the UK to trade shows, along with making occasional visits to the parent company in Germany
Skills and experience required:
- Significant experience in a social media-focused marketing role with evidence of creating effective and eye-catching campaigns OR a degree (or other equivalent qualification) in marketing, social media or a directly associated subject
- Excellent up-to-the minute understanding of social media channels, industry news and emerging trends.
- Sound knowledge of Google Analytics, with an enthusiasm for identifying patterns, trends and opportunities for online growth
- Able to carry out effective campaign analysis, report on findings and use results to plan future social media strategies.
- IT proficient, with knowledge of design software such as Adobe and Photoshop.
- Equipped with a good level of web literacy to work effectively with web page designers
- Adept at producing interesting and well-structured written content, with an excellent level of grammatical accuracy
- Communicates with internal and external contacts in a friendly and engaging manner, delivering ideas and recommendations with confidence.
- Self-motivated and resilient, with a positive and innovative approach.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- A driving licence is essential for the requirements of this role
Hours of work:
- Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm
Salary and benefits:
- £22,000 - £25,000
- Annual bonus based on company performance
- 20 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays + 3 days at Christmas
