Job Description

An opportunity has arisen with an established and successful company based near Leicester. This successful and established company supplies to key retailers in the UK and Europe. We are looking to recruit an experienced Merchandiser or Assistant Merchandiser. The successful candidate will support the Account Management team to manage and negotiate deliveries with the customers and supply base.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage factory production schedules and forecasts
  • Identifying issues/opportunities and offering solutions
  • Analyse customer sales data, identifying key opportunities
  • Attend and follow up customer/factory progress meetings
  • Attend customer meetings, minuting meetings in conjunction with the team and supporting Account Managers to follow up
  • Critical path management
  • Placing purchase orders
  • Ordering product labels
  • Completing customer line sheets
  • Maintaining an in-house database
  • Monitoring deliveries and communicating any changes to the customer
  • Arranging UK deliveries and Customs paperwork as required
  • Following up on debit and credit notes
  • Arranging customer invoices and payments to factories
  • Working closely with the factory and customers to ensure the critical path is met at all stages
  • Working closely with the Product Development team to identify missed opportunities and provide sales analysis
  • Liaising with European and Asian factories
  • Factory visits to Europe/Asia may be required

Hours of work:

  • Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm

Salary and benefits:

  • £20,000 - £30,000 dependent on experience
