Job Description

We are looking to recruit an experienced Office Manager to manage and support a small team of Customer Service Advisors within a successful and established business based in Market Harborough.

This is a varied role which will incorporate a flexible approach as well as ensuring that customers and suppliers are handled in a professional way and that management information provided is delivered on time and in the required format.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Focus to be on driving and supporting the team, giving guidance and supporting the customer escalation process
  • Staff appraisals
  • Full liaison with the customer and production planning
  • Prioritising sales orders with Production Planner and dedicated Production Manager/Logistics
  • Overseeing the Account Management of the customer
  • Dealing with problems, issues and escalations in a reactive manner
  • Handling complaints, resolving complaints and ensuring support is given to the CSR's when difficulties arise with main customers
  • Some basic up-selling with customers, developing accounts
  • Dealing with any escalated issues out in the field with the external sales guys
  • Dealing with and raising of customer credits
  • Figures and reporting, successful individual will form part of the Senior Management Team and will be expected to attend a monthly meeting so some KPI reporting and figures will be part of the role
  • Support with the administration of ISO9001 and Health & Safety within the organisation - They currently contract out to Peninsula and they are audited so someone with a knowledge of the ISO9001 would be a preference
  • Responsibility for the recruitment, growth and development of the existing team

Skills and experience required:

  • Hands on Manager
  • Previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous
  • Able to delegate but at the same time will get involved with the day to day and assist and support the team
  • Excellent man management skills
  • Needs to be able to find balance with stepping back to Manage but at peak times works as a part of the daily team to manage the workflow and assist with Customer Accounts
  • A flexible, resourceful and problem-solving approach, with the ability to use initiative where required.
  • Demonstration of good attention to detail and accuracy always
  • Good IT skills and the ability to confidently use Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Logical and numerate mind required as quotations in Square Metres and Linea Metres required - Training will be given
  • MS Office - Excel intermediate
  • Experience of using SAP would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills

Working hours:

  • Monday to Friday 08.00 - 18:00 (Core hours - 37.5 hours per week)
  • Free parking
