Job Description

A new opportunity has arisen for a part time Office Supplies and Premises Assistant to work for our client, a well-established and community-focused banking organisation based in Market Harborough.

The purpose of the role will be to source, stock and distribute office supplies and provide an opening-up service for the company each working day.

To be successful in this role you will need to be committed, reliable and hardworking with a positive and proactive approach to work.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • To source, retain stock and distribute stationery (including marketing material) and other office supplies items throughout the branch network and head office, whilst remaining within budget and avoiding waste
  • To manage and record the stock levels whilst keeping storage areas tidy and accessible
  • To collect mail and Document Exchange from the MH collection point
  • Ensuring the company's building has been security checked each morning in accordance with the Security and Emergency Procedures
  • To carry out fire safety, generator and security checks in accordance with the company's Security and Emergency Procedures
  • To complete monthly health and safety questionnaires, reporting any issues without delay
  • As a key holder, be available to attend any of the company's premises in an emergency situation
  • To assist with the accurate preparation of paper filing and scanning of documents onto the document image processing system as well as the physical filing retained by the company and its disposal
  • To assist with repair tasks reported to the Premises Helpdesk, including assisting with minor housekeeping duties relating to the cleanliness and presentation of company's premises and office moves
  • To provide refreshments for meetings and to clear the room once the meeting has concluded
  • To open incoming mail and distribute this in an accurate and timely manner
  • To assist with the completing and recording of Portable Appliance testing
  • To provide holiday cover for other roles within the Team to enable the Resources function to be available from 8.00am - 6.30pm Monday to Friday. Saturday morning cover as per the Saturday rota

Skills and experience required:

  • Prior experience in a role involving premises or facilities-related duties would be an advantage
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Possess a positive, polite and friendly attitude
  • Ability to work alone or within a team

Hours:

  • Part time, 25 hours per week
  • 45am-12.45pm Monday to Friday
  • Saturdays worked on a rota basis (approx. 1 in 4), 8.00am-1.00pm

Salary and benefits:

  • £9.00 - £9.15 per hour
  • 24 days annual holiday + 8 bank holidays
