Job Description

Are you looking for a challenging, rewarding and varied position which will utilise your strong administration skills? Do you have excellent communication and organisational skills? If so, our client based in Market Harborough would like to hear from you. Successful candidates will have experience of working within a fast paced and pressurised environment and can organise and prioritise their workload effectively.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Action emails
  • Diary management
  • Organising travel
  • Type from dictation and manuscript
  • Processing invoices
  • Banking, petty cash, expenses and some credit control
  • Completion of wage sheets
  • Monitor holidays
  • Processing tax claim administration as required
  • Creation of claim case files - ensuring all relevant documentation is collated
  • Producing newsletters using Publisher - training will be given
  • Filtering telephone calls, dealing with all queries professionally
  • Managing office supplies & post
  • Organise seminars
  • Update the company website accordingly - i.e. blogs
  • General administrative tasks as directed by the management team
  • General house- keeping - i.e. empty bins, tidy office

Skills and experience required:

  • Strong office based administration experience
  • Shorthand would be advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organised with an ability to work both in a team and individually
  • Intermediate to advanced level in all Microsoft Office packages - Power-point, Excel and Word
  • Experience of Publisher software is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to communicate confidently & effectively with clients
  • Good literacy is a must
  • Flexibility - ability to cover holidays and sickness when required

Working hours:

  • Monday to Wednesday 9.00am - 4.30pm (1 hour unpaid lunch) 19.5 hrs per week
  • Wednesday to Friday 9.00am - 4.30 pm (1 hour unpaid lunch) 19.5 hrs per week

Salary and benefits:

  • £10,140 - salary review after 6 months
