Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Administrator to join our manufacturing client supplying into the construction industry. This role will involve assisting the HR Manager in ensuring an effective and efficient service is provided to management and staff. This role would suit someone who has previous payroll administration experience and who would like to get involved in HR administration.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Processing and preparation of weekly and monthly payroll
  • Checking clockings, and completing time / absence amendments / holiday allocation
  • Provision of payroll reports for management
  • HMRC submissions
  • Processing of attachment of earnings
  • Monthly bank reconciliations with payroll
  • Auto enrolment and weekly / monthly submission of pension payments
  • Monthly submission of CIS details to HMRC
  • Maintaining and updating of holiday and absence records
  • Assist in the production of HR circulars and reviews of HR policies, procedures and handbooks
  • Co-ordinate and communicate with recruitment agencies, as required
  • Liaising with the HR Manager, produce all relevant contractual documentation for new employees
  • Assist in the management of the induction process

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous payroll experience is essential
  • Strong administration experience
  • IT literate with good understanding of using payroll software (sage payroll or Access Payroll and Sage construct desirable) and Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm (1 hour lunch)

Salary and benefits:

  • £18,000 - £20,000
