Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Ledger / Credit Controller to join their small friendly team in their office based in Market Harborough.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Weekly sales invoice run (UK, Europe and USA)
  • Upload sales information to sales financing facility
  • Management of invoice processing via customer self-billing systems
  • Identifying customer remittances in bank and factoring accounts and allocate accordingly
  • Routine statements and payment reminders
  • Pro-active credit control
  • Managing the purchase order processes and client special requirements for raising sales invoices
  • Communication with customers re overdue debts / remittance and invoicing queries / purchase orders
  • Aged debt reporting

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience within a similar role
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to manage own work load
  • Experienced in routine credit control procedures and advancing problem debts to solicitors
  • Knowledge of customer invoicing portals
  • Commercial acumen and a good eye for detail
  • Experience of dealing with clients globally
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience of Sage

Salary and benefits:

  • Up to £25,000 dependent upon experience
