Job Description

We are currently seeking applications for an exciting opportunity to work with a progressive and dynamic company. You will work as an integral part of the field team supporting a range of SME clients with reliable and responsive solutions for their technology requirements.

As well as proven experience within a Systems Support Technical based role, the successful applicant should demonstrate a proactive approach to their work and enjoy taking ownership of responsibilities and challenges with pace and tenacity.

This is an ongoing temporary assignment, and therefore due to urgent commercial requirements any interested candidates should be immediately available. The core business hours of work are 07:00am - 19:00pm so successful candidates will need to be flexible in terms of offering additional support if required. Normal working hours will be 37.5 hours per week. Successful candidates will require a full, clean drivers licence and access to own vehicle.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Supporting the field based team with a range of technical queries and customer support
  • 80% of the day you will be responsible for going out on site and dealing with technical call outs
  • Supporting with Network related issues involving switching cables, connecting virtual machines/VPN computers to a network
  • Dealing with RDS - Remote Desktop Server issues
  • Responding to Server problems, Windows, Outlook and Office 365 technical issues
  • Dealing with SAGE system issues, normal errors, resolution and query handling
  • Recovery of programmes, changing passwords, accessing systems, hardware issues
  • Supporting the team of field based technicians with some major installation work around CCTV breakdowns and camera malfunctions
  • Supporting with major networks, systems re-boots, diagnosis checks, system resolutions
  • Simplified networking issues and general server support to main client accounts

Skills and experience required:

  • Need to have good knowledge of MS Office/Windows
  • Proven networking experience, coupled with knowledge of domain controller and ability to apply the knowledge
  • Server knowledge and experience / capability to diagnose
  • Analytical, numerate and literate
  • Methodical and logicalapproach
  • Ability to problem solve and be proactive with response times

Salary and benefits:
