Job Description

A new opportunity has arisen for a full-time personal tax administrator with to work with a fast-growing organisation.

To be successful in this role you will need to be committed, reliable and hardworking, with a positive and proactive approach to work. This role is on a temporary basis for approximately 6 - 8 weeks. Please note that due to the requirements of the business, applicants should be available for an immediate start.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will manage the computerised self-assessment tax returns for individual clients
  • The role involves friendly, professional and informative interaction with clients and liaison with HMRC
  • Preparing digital files to facilitate the preparation of tax returns
  • Monitoring mailboxes and responding to tax related queries
  • Preparing emails and letters to clients
  • Keeping workflow databases up to date
  • Query resolution by email and phone

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous experience in a supporting role completing personal tax calculations in a busy organisation
  • Enthusiastic team players who take pride in their work
  • Confident and professional communicators with great interpersonal skills
  • A high level of IT user competence, particularly in Microsoft Excel. Training will be given on all in-house IT tools
  • Working/work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution
  • The ability to work towards challenging/demanding client deadlines and having the flexibility to meet these requirements

Salary and benefits:

  • Up to £10 per hour
  • 9.00am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday
