Job Description

Our client is a leading UK manufacturer in their specialist field, who have been established for over forty years. They offer a wide product range in a niche market and ship to a client base worldwide.

Due to ongoing success and company growth, they are looking to expand their sales team, creating the opportunity for a dynamic, technically minded individual, to start a prosperous sales career.

All training will be provided onsite and a clear progression path will be outlined subject to performance.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Receiving incoming enquiries for parts from customers
  • Identifying appropriate parts and engineering options for the customer
  • Preparing quotations for customers and taking payments over the telephone
  • Ordering parts and arranging dispatch to fulfil customer orders
  • Assisting with the maintenance of the company website, ensuring all information is current and up to date
  • Working to targets set by the National Service Manager
  • Undergoing training in order to learn all in-house systems and the technical elements of the role

Skills and experience required:

  • Driven by sales and working to targets, looking to develop a career in sales
  • Some form of technical/engineering qualification is desirable
  • Must be technically minded and able to demonstrate some form of engineering experience either in the workplace or via a hobby (car restoration project, etc.)
  • PC literate and able to use standard office packages
  • Confident, motivated and outgoing
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good team player

Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm
  • Friday 8am - 1pm

Salary and benefits:

  • £19,000 - £21,000 dependent on experience + monthly performance bonus
  • 25 days annual holiday + Bank Holidays
