Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to work for a small, successful and well- established growing company based in Market Harborough. We are looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Manager. Duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage a team of 4 (will grow to 10) direct line reports
  • Be responsible for a small warehouse operation - Total 12,000 sq ft
  • Profit and Loss
  • Scheduling and planning
  • Effectively coordinate all resource to deliver operational effectiveness
  • Responsible for escalating any major issues appropriately
  • Actively live, demonstrate and support the company guiding principles
  • Ensure all Health and Safety policies are clearly understood and implemented throughout the team
  • Monitor holidays and absenteeism
  • Identify opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness, deploying strategies and implementing practical solutions
  • Trouble shoot, investigate and resolve any on-going problems
  • Employee development, communication, work allocation, employee relations, issues and absence management
  • Focus on needs of external customers face to face and via telephone
  • Improve productivity levels within the warehouse operation
  • Responsible for creating own KPIs / running weekly reports / costings
  • Manage goods in/goods out
  • Stock management

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum 2 years' warehouse and logistics experience dealing with 4+ staff
  • Excellent people skills
  • Strong and resilient
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • Experience of stock management / location systems
  • Overcome challenges and daily issues
  • Hands on and proactive with own team
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop
  • Exposure to a 3PL logistics environment would be a distinct advantage


  • Monday to Friday - 8.30am-5.30pm (30mins lunch)
