We’re delighted to present a new HR Assistant vacancy on behalf of a much-loved local leisure attraction with a rich heritage and a strong focus on community engagement and education.
Joining an exciting and fast-paced business, the successful candidate will support the business as it progresses through a period of significant change and growth. We’re looking for applicants with prior experience in payroll administration and HR, who enjoy engaging with and delivering exceptional customer service.
As HR Assistant, you’ll have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all HR queries are dealt with by the human resources team effectively
- Delivering accurate payroll by collating hours worked and maintaining the time and attendance system
- Maintaining all employee files and electronic systems
- Actively supporting employee communication and engagement
- Assisting with the recruitment and selection process for a large seasonal workforce
- Helping the team to deliver people strategies in line with business requirements and values
- Varied HR Administration on processes and procedures
We’re looking for an HR Assistant with the following skills and experience:
- Good knowledge of payroll processes and systems, ideally Sage 50 and HR exposure
- Ability to successfully adapt within an environment of change and growth
- IT proficient; confident using Microsoft packages especially Word and Excel
- Uses initiative and manages own workload through effective time management and prioritisation
- Meets deadlines whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with colleagues
- Discretion in handling confidential data, with an understanding of GDPR
Hours of work:
- 24 hours per week, across 3, 4 or 5 weekdays
- Based on-site
Salary and benefits:
- £25,000 – £27,500 FTE
