    We are supporting the recruitment of an Accounts Assistant for an established manufacturing organisation part of a global group. The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Manager and will take responsibility for the transactional accounting and supporting the Financial Accountant with month end processes.

    Please note this is not a hybrid role and will be office based.

     

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Responsibility for both the sales and purchase ledger
    • Processing of invoices (approx. 200 per month)
    • Setting up new accounts
    • Supplier statement reconciliations
    • Supplier query resolution
    • Processing and reconciliation of employee expenses and credit cards
    • Daily bank reconciliations and monthly reporting
    • Preparation of payment runs
    • Raising of invoices and credit notes
    • Credit control (phone and email) and reporting on aged debt
    • Allocation of receipts
    • Processing of expenses
    • Assistance with month end procedures

     

    Skills and experience required:

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within an accounts assistant role
    • Previous credit control experience is required
    • Good knowledge of Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP’s & Formulas – use not creation) with experience of
    • using accountancy software systems (Sage 500 desirable)
    • Strong organisational skills and ability to work in a process driven environment
    • A strong self-starter who is motivated and can work independently
    • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
    • Helpful team member, happy to provide support to colleagues in other areas where required

     

    Hours:

    • Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm
