    We’re delighted to be recruiting a 6-month fixed term contract for a Part-time Accounts Assistant on behalf of a well-known manufacturing organisation that has been established in Leicester for nearly 130 years.

    The successful candidate will work as part of a friendly and industrious team. You will assist the team in a variety of finance functions directly reporting into the Finance Manager. This will be an office-based role and you will be required to be in the office on a Monday and Tuesday, but they are flexible on hours / other days.


    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Completion of credit control and generation of debtor letters / statements
    • Assist the Finance Manager with balance sheet reconciliations and month end tasks
    • Collation of timesheets for payroll and processing onto the payroll system
    • Produce weekly payroll BACS and associate paperwork for approval
    • Processing of credit card and employee expenses
    • Cover and assistance with purchase ledger / sales ledger when required
    • Customer and client supplier query resolution
    • Dealing with financial paperwork and filing


    Skills and experience required:

    • Extensive account reconciliation experience – accounts up to trial balance
    • Experience of payroll processing
    • Previous experience of using accounting software packages (Navision desirable)
    • Strong excel skills (pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s desirable)



    • 6 month fixed term contract starting in January 2022
    • Part time 24 hours per week
    • Monday and Tuesday must be based in the office


    Salary and benefits:

    • Circa £12.00 per hour
    • 20 days + 8 bank holidays (pro-rata – full working week 37.25 hours)
