    We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Supervisor on behalf of a successful manufacturing brand based in Corby, known as a well-reputed supplier to major retailers within their industry.

    This is a new role and your remit will be to ensure effective financial operations by supervising and supporting the financial transaction processing team as well as being very ‘hands on’ in the day to day. You will have a passion for improving systems and processes; and the desire to develop people as well as ensuring full and accurate closure of the ledgers at month end.

     

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the day to day transactional accounting through leading, managing, coaching and supporting the small AR / AP team to include credit control
    • Daily reconciliations and cash reporting
    • Daily banking and updating of receipts to the ledger
    • Monthly VAT and intrastat returns
    • Monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts
    • Preparing for and participating in the year end audit
    • Completion of ad-hoc reporting as required
    • Proactively reviewing and improving internal processes

     

    Skills and experience required:

    • AAT qualification / studying desirable but not essential
    • Rounded transactional accounting experience
    • Previous experience in a Team Leader capacity including team development
    • Good understanding of VAT
    • Experience of high-volume reconciliations in an FMCG environment
    • Experience of cross functional working (commercial, IT)
    • Ability to successfully adapt to changing demands and conditions within an FMCG environment
    • Self-sufficient, organised and very ‘hands on’

     

    Hours of work:

    • Monday to Friday 8.30 – 5pm OR 9.00am – 5.30pm

     

    Salary and benefits:

    • £28,000 – £32,000
    • 25 days annual leave + 8 Bank holidays
