We’re looking for a talented and enterprising Finance Manager to join an established manufacturer and retail distributor based in Leicestershire.
The successful candidate will assume a hands-on role with responsibility for the day-to-day financial operations of this international company ensuring accurate financial information and reporting.
This role will be office based but some hybrid working can be offered.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Carrying out the day-to-day management of the finance function
- Management of a small finance team
- Preparing accurate and timely monthly management accounts with variances
- Cashflow management and review
- VAT Returns, Intrastat and ECSL
- Overseeing payroll process
- Budget and forecast / reforecasting in collaboration with the management team
- Reporting on standard and actual cost variances
- Maintenance of the fixed asset register
- Liaising with external auditors with regards to year-end statutory accounts
- Coordinating performance analysis (departmental and client)
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements on an ongoing basis
- Building strong relationships and high credibility with internal stakeholders
Skills and experience required:
- ACCA / ACA / CIMA or QBE
- At least 5 years’ experience of working within a similar role, including the management of small / developing finance teams
- Strong IT skills with an advanced knowledge of MS Excel (desirable) and Microsoft Navision. Additional experience of an Executive Dashboard would be desirable.
- Previous manufacturing organisation experience with exposure to costing and pricing
- Enjoys taking ownership of tasks and working with a self-motivated and enterprising approach
- Demonstrates a growth mindset and an interest in seeing the role and business develop
- Confident in leading, challenging and influencing both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Ability to highlight commercial opportunities and risk
- Takes a collaborative approach

Hours of work:
- Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
Salary and benefits:
- £48,000 – £52,000
