    We’re delighted to be recruiting a skilled Food Safety Coordinator on behalf of our client, a highly regarded and successful food company.

    Joining a friendly and supportive team, the successful candidate will drive the development and maintenance of Quality Management System in line with legal requirements and business commercial needs, including gaining and retaining required 3rd party accreditations, such as BRC and key retailers’ certifications.

     

    As Food Safety Coordinator, you will have the following duties and responsibilities:

    • Providing guidance and support to the operations team with regards to food safety and quality management.
    • Managing the internal audit programme
    • Managing technical systems risk assessments
    • Liaising with suppliers in management of raw material and suppliers risk assessment systems
    • Completing due diligence and processing forms within strict deadlines
    • Assisting with the NPD process
    • Organising factory audits and closing out non-conformance
    • Actively participating in the HACCP Team

     

    We’re looking for a Food Safety Coordinator with the following skills and experience:

    • Extensive prior experience of working within a food manufacturing environment, including legal and technical aspects of hygiene, pest management, weight control and foreign body detection.
    • Qualifications in HACCP and Food Safety Level 3
    • Qualification or experience of internal auditing
    • Experience of application risk assessment methodology in a food business environment
    • Experience of hands-on management of weighing equipment and metal detectors
    • Confident working with suppliers and contractors
    • Good IT skills, with particularly sound knowledge of MS Excel
    • Excellent communication and organisational skills
    • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment that is deadline-driven

     

    Hours of work:

    • Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

     

    Salary and benefits:
