We’re currently recruiting an astute and insightful HR Manager on behalf of a successful business based in Market Harborough, known as well-reputed independent experts within their industry.
As part of this extremely varied and interesting opportunity, the successful applicant will coordinate and manage all of the day-to-day operational HR activity and will also work with the Senior Management Team to develop and implement a clear overall HR strategy for the company.
This is an exciting and rewarding role with hands-on involvement in the management of HR operations and the delivery of strategic objectives.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing clear, effective HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall objectives of the business
- Bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
- Supporting the recruitment, selection and induction processes
- Overseeing and managing a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
- Ensuring that employee records are kept up to date and accurate
- Providing first line advice on existing benefits for employees and managers
- Working with line managers throughout the business to assess training needs and implement any required training programs
- Reporting to management and providing decision support through HR metrics
- Ensuring legal compliance throughout HR management and policy
Skills and experience required:
- Extensive experience as an HR Manager, ideally within a professional services environment
- Qualified to CIPD Level 5 or above
- Excellent, up to date knowledge of HR practices and employment law
- Previous involvement in the design and implementation of effective HR strategies
- Demonstrable experience with human resource metrics
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- People oriented, with excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- IT proficient, and a confident user of Microsoft Office
- Takes a results-driven, self-motivated and well organised efficient approach to work
Hours of work:
- Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm
Salary and benefits:
- £40,000 – £50,000 per annum
